Western Route.
Tsun Mac. Two passage boats ply daily cetween Hongkong and Tsun
Man, the number of passengers carried each way averages about ec.
The principal goods carried are rice, pineboules when in season,
grass and wood in connection with the 24 sandal wood mills, worked
by water power, and situated in the various valleys of the Tsun
Wan District.
fai Lam Chung. The hong kong to Castle Peak steam launch calls here
daily about 15 to 20 passengers both ways.
Castle Fean. One daily service by launch to hongkong. Average num-
ber of passengers both ways 20 to 26; 31sc about loads of goods
chiefly from Mr. Li Fax's vegetable gardens.
un Long. Connections by small boats with the two Shar Chun Isunokes
in Deep Say. Average daily number of passengers both ways 40. NO
foods carried by launch, Mare 30 cents.
Goods carried by junk yearly arount to about 180,000
plouis. Bice etc. at 5 cents per picul. tiscellaneous goods 10
cents. At Lok Ma Chau the Shem Chun 18unches land and take on pes-
sengers. Average number of passengers 10 to 15.
Corron to both Eastern and festern koutes.
Sher Chun. Ivo launches run daily. Only at high spring tides are
the launches able to reach Shan Chun. Usually stern wheel bassenger
bosts meet the launches at the entrance of the Shar Chun river in
Deep Bay. There is a large junk trade between Shar Chun, Hongkong
and other ports.
